Map & Location Liberec, the centre of the city
Key:
a Dr. Edvard Beneš Square (Náměstí Dr. Edvarda Beneše) is the absolute centre of the city. Hotel Praha can be seen on the left-hand side. The town hall sits to the north.
b The F.X. Šalda Theatre (Divadlo F.X. Šaldy) faces the rear of the town hall. The central post office is one of the buildings in the block on the right.
c Železná Street connects Sokolovské Square and Dr. Edvard Beneš Square. Pedestrians can also use Kostelní Lane. It is from Sokolovské Square, around the church, and down Kostelní Lane that the access road to the Hotel Praha parking area runs.
d Soukenné Square could almost be described as the second city centre. It is close to the central public transport terminus and is around 3 minutes' walk from Hotel Praha down Pražská Street.
e Jablonecká Street, the access road to the centre from the towns of Jablonec nad Nisou, Tanvald, and so on.
f Traffic from Frýdlant, Chrastava, Děčín, Zittau, and Česká Lípa arrives in the centre via Sokolská Street.
g Traffic from Prague and Turnov arrives in the centre of Liberec via 8. března Street, Palachova Street, and Šalda Square (Šaldovo náměstí).
The main route through the centre of the city is marked in yellow on the map.
